What was it like driving a e46 & 36 back to back ?

Like driving a 328 v a 318

I can't remember my E36 being that bad, to me it ran like a machine! But I suppose if I got to drive it back to back with my E46 I would notice the difference more, you really think they that far apart Peter?

Garethl maybe not as drastic as that however consider the following

318-roughly 100Kw
328-roughly 145Kw

e36M roughly 210Kw
e46M roughly 250Kw

Equally the 6 spd box over the 5 may have a role to play in the way the car goes.

In addition the high speed stability of the e46 M is nothing to be sneezed at whilst the e36 is known for its wondering ways.

Yeah I suppose there has been a bit of advancement from the one to the other so there will be a definate difference, could also be that I still have a big soft spot for the E36!

This is how the car was handed over to Faisel today.
I wish I could take the credit for the clean engine however this is exactly how it was given to me.



He also dropped another car with me however that will be done later in its own thread.

generally we have all become acoustomed to bad service and it becomes normal
After dealing with peter you realise that there are still some good and honest people out there .
Lets deal with the e46 first only way do describe I never realised the power of the 46 till peter worked his magic
The 36 didn't need much done but what ever he did car is responsive from way down
And superb on pull away remembering its 20 years old can still run with the best

Lets get to the costs best money I ever spent
once again thanks to everyone that followed the thread and a special thanks to peter
