It's like 1400 from g drive

that's still a bit pricey isn't it? I mean for a piece of fabric stiffed with a thin layer of sponge?

What are you willing to pay for high heat repellant fabric?

Once replaced, to prevent the new one from getting damaged, don't allow it to get wet when washing the engine bay, or steam cleaning (not good to steam clean an engine generally). Best is to remove this and dust it off and then wash the engine bay.

Personally I would just remove the old one, assuming you want to replace yours because it looks tatty, and leave it off. If your doesn't have one, just leave it as it, there is really very little point to having it.

Well, now that I am getting to know my E46, should I consider buying another one, then "small" issues like this will decide which one I will consider buying - the driver or owner decides how well-cared for and looked after the vehicle looks after a number of years and will determine a difficult or an easy sale

Was expecting it to be under a thousand. Considering the size being a mere square meter.?

Have you not heard of the Big Rip Off........?

Well now you have
That panel does not cost more than R50 to produce for goodness sake and it falls apart as soon as you look at it.
