E46 Sportpack Shocks

Hi all.

My brothers E46 318i Sportpack is in need of shocks replacement.

Location: Durban, KZN.

Do you guys know of a good, affordable joint where he can get shocks for his car.

He is has been given a price of R1700 each... Which is quite steep. I am not sure what brand he was quoted on.

Any assistance, with possible prices, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading

I have Koni STR.T at R 1450 each free shipping to DBN on these

Have a look on the AXIS Site for other options if you like

Koni STR.T are the best bang for buck...

Yo Bro...

I am not sure if the E46 Sportspacks shocks are shorter than stock... Will the Koni STR.T fit and work fine on the car. Will the ride height be affected negatively, or will it remain the same.

I apologise for asking daft questions. I want to advise my brother correctly.

Thanks

P.S - What is the delivery period on these.

XMAX dont worry about asking questions :)

the Koni STR.T work well for sports pack and non sports pack as well as lowering springs...

the only real difference between the rear sports pack shock and non sports pack is there is a retainer inside the shock that stops the spring from extending to the same length as the non sports pack... this ensures that the shorter sports pack spring stays in place :)

damper forces are the same on both sports pack shock and non sports pack

we should have these in stock so if i get payment this weekend or early next week he will have the dampers next week some time...

Would it be possible to get control arms, bushings, tie rod ends etc (everything to do with the steering/handling) through you? I'm experiencing a floating/disconnected steering wheel.

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread. :sorry:

Whatever you do, don't put the Gabriel gas riders ..... They are absolutely useless :thumbdo:

Sean,

So the rears are R1640 per pair?
And the fronts are R1450 per pair?

I hope so...

see this is why i only quote in pairs it confuses things need to fit two anyway :roflol:

Front R 2900 a Pair
Rears R 1450 a Pair

fronts are almost always more expensive because of the construction...
