Yep,

But then you will need a hi/low converter as well.

In order of upgrade... do the foloowing as I assume your on a budget like the rest of us.

1. Upgrade the front splits with something decent (MBQuarts, Hertz, Focals) in standard location using standard wiring and amp

If that does not do it for you.

2. Buy decent 4 channel amp (Audison, RF... WHY) with a fuse kit, decent hi/low, decent wiring kit, and replace the cables running to the front splits, and tap the rears in... this will be chalk and cheese.

3. That should sort your midrange very very nicely, if you then want low down, get another amp , and fire a 10 or a 12" through the ski hatch or port your rear shelf...

The MOST important part to any car sound system is the amplifier.

Get a good / great quality amplifer (RF, Phoenix Gold, DLS, Pioneer), then think about upgrading the mids and tweeters.

Ive heared a car with a phoenix gold amplifier and pioneer dual cones sound better than a car with a starsound amplier and mb quartz splits.

also, when buying a wiring kit, spend money and get a proper kit, not these cheap kits with crappy power cable and RCA's. Buy a Stinger or Rf kit if possible. if you want proper sound quality dont be shy with the signal or power.

of course it all boils down to budget constraints. see what you you can afford, then save and buy something better.

Going to Soundlab just now to see what the damage is gona be :)

Dude, if youre going to Soundlab Chatsworth, speak to DEX, hes the owner. Tell him that Veru sent you (thats me, i used to be a member of Team Soundlab).

if youre going to soundlab phoenix, still tell them that Veru sent you. but chatsworth is usually cheaper cos youre dealing with the owner, not his employees who cant "make a better price".

Hey guys , I think best cheapest way to get better sound is to change the OEM front deck with an aftermarket one . My car's sound is crap even though it has a Hi Fi Sound system option . My friend has a stock system but changed the front deck to an alpine aftermarket system which doesn't look half as good as the OEM one but he can put the volume up on the stock speakers and its clear clear !!! . Shocking actually so that's my verdict .
