E46 Shock sensor

I came accross this page

It mentions fitting a shock sensor to our E46 cars , They mention that the E46 did not come with a shock sensor .

Did our Sa cars come with these sensors? If not , where can one buy something like this?

I doubt, if they want your car they are going take regardless of the system you have in it.

Its not so much about them taking the car , more about delaying , making it difficult or bringing as much attention to the vehicle as possible in the quickest possible way, while they try to do their business, breaking in (stealing your stuff etc) . Like having door locks on our cars or ignition switches or fuel cut off switches . Its not going to stop determined theif from stealing the car , but it is going to make it difficult for them to do so. And a noisy car may make them think twice about continuing their devious acts.

If they want to steal an E46 I doubt they would break into it ,I believe they would probably just hijack the car.

I hear you point and it is valid but I think it is an unnecessary measure

Ok , lets get back to the topic , this was not if the part was necessary or not , I think its a nice feature to have as part of the alarm system. If I could have something in addition to the key wheel bolts to add to my wheels , I would look at that as well. Thus I wouldn't mind finding a way to fit it onto my car. I feel that one should Rather take steps to try and avoid a problem then having to fix a problem after it has occurred.

1) I wished to know if this came on our cars ,I Found out that Our cars did not come with it, there was a Tilt sensor in the boot , also an ultrasonic sensor on the roof, but if someone should bump the car , open their door on it etc, hit it etc nothing would happen . Put a screw driver down the hole and twist or try to break into it, the alarm would not activate.

2) Where could I buy something like this from? Do alarm shops sell this as a separate part? or Is there an electrical shop that would sell something like this? Or does it have a specific name that I can look for ?
