E46 sensor issues

Hey guys, my 2004 e46 325ci with 115kms on the clock is getting a rough idle when cold, bogging and surging when trying to attain clutch control, hesitation on pull off when warm, and just a general lack of torque, I'm almost sure its a sensor or ecu issue, can someone recommend a reputable mechanic / workshop that can do electrical system diagnosis? (eg check O2 sensors, check Cam and Crank pos sensors, test vanos solenoids, test coil packs etc)?

Here's what I've done on the car so far:

  • Did the vanos seals 10000k back, much better but not fixed.
  • no errors on the OBD that I could see with my generic cable
  • ICV is fine, DISA is fine, crankcase ventilation is fine as far as I could test
  • fuel filter was replaced just before I bought it 15ks back.
  • intake boots are fine, maf seems okay - cant tell without getting a brand new one
  • no difference I could tell between different fuels, the cats do stink of sulphur every now and then - clogged?
  • took to stealership had adaptation values reset.

This particular problem has been with me since I bought the car, and the worst thing is that its intermittent. One day its fine - loads of torque, next its a limp biscuit.

BMW dealership was useless, they did diagnosis and saw I had unplugged the maf while trying to test it and thought that was the cause and wanted to charge 8000 to plug and unplug a 5000 part.
