Hey guys, I recently bought a new oil filter and oil for my 2003 E46 318i. I noticed that there are two copper rings as well as a large rubber o ring and about a 10 cent sized o ring. What are each of these parts for?
One copper ring goes to the sump plug. The rubber o-rings go with the filter, you should see where they go when you take out the old filter + remove the sump plug.
