R629 VAT incl. for the 545i shifter.

And for the Z4 shift lever?

lol, didnt actually ask, thought we decided the 545i one is teh one to go for.

:hammerhead:

Oops sorry man, a bit of bad communication on my part, but happen to be able to get the price for the Z4 shift lever it would be much appreciated. Would like to compare the price to the dealer price, se if it would be worth shipping it here to pta.
Thanks man and sorry for the fail at my end look like I also need to get myself a thinking brain monkey :)

Thread revive!
I did not know it was possible to shorten gear throws using OEM parts!! I'm certainly going for the Z4 lever. Will post when it's done (y)

Just completed this conversion through an independent mechanic.

The difference is chalk and cheese! I went with the E60 shifter lever as BMW stopped producing the Z4 lever which has even shorter throws!

Looking back, I’m sure these parts are unnecessary for the conversion, I don’t even think they will restore the shifter movement to brand new condition and feel:

23-41-1-466-134 Dowel Pin

25-11-1-222-015 Shifter Idler Arm Rear Mount

Inflation on BMW parts is unbelievable LOL!!
The most expensive parts I paid for was the actual E60 shifter lever(R1200) and the input shaft joint(R600)
For all the parts listed in the thread, BMW quoted R3000 in 2021 money.

If the clutch delay valve hasn’t been removed it should probably be done with this conversion.
