E46 N46 318I 2005 SOMETIMES SMOKING

good day gents I am hoping some one here can help me out

I have a 2005 model e46 318i n46

the problem I have sometimes and only sometimes like twice a week or so my car smokes a lot even at idle like really big puffy white smoke the smoke smells like some kind of chemical (does not smell like rotten egg)also it does not smell like burnt oil ,I mean if it was my rings or valve seals or valve guides it would've been a continues smoking problem but like I said it only smokes like twice a week and its definitely not steam/condensation

Can you smell it inside the car?

If so, its your valve cover gasket/oil filter housing.

It s a 4 cylinder problem.

if its coming out the pipe its probly valve stem seals.
