E46 Mags

Hi guys, me again. Planning to put new mags on my e46 and just wanted some info. Got 16" on now but I would rater go for 17 or 18". Looked at the 'gang racing -wicked-' mags. They're nice but I dunno the brand to well. Also the 'racing heart -stride-' looks awesome. As far as tyres go I was thinking Hankook V12 or Velocity Axe or R Max - 225/45. Would love to hear some input on these. Thanks guys! Great forum!:ty:

I have a set of freshly refurbished Individual Mags going for R9999 with decent tyres on them too.

I'd go for OEM or AC Schnitzer

Choose carefully. Some replica rims and cheaper rims don't last.

Some rims just make a BMW look cheap. :yuck:

Like a couple of years ago I saw a set of TSW's on a Ferrari.

Even if I owned TSW I wouldn't do it!

OEM all the way... or you can ask your local tiger wheel and tyre to see the range of Brayton wheels but be ready to pay $$$

Take the 17" E90 Sportpack wheel from Gizmo and have it refurbished. For around R4k you will have a great wheel and it sits perfect on an E46 with that offset.

oem rims are way stronger than 90% of the aftermarket stuff... i would buy the ones gismo has for sale any day over the other rims you mentioned :)

 So the M3 rims won't work.....!
Does OEM make anything close to this... (See pic)

Maybe the CSL's? Will they fit?

OEM M3 rims do work on the E46 but you need the right tyres. I'm running 245/35/18 and it's fine but the 255/35/18 did not work. The rim does however sit 26mm further out than the standard rim.

So a 225/45/18 will work in your opinion?

I happen to have a set of E90 wheels for sale too, freshly refurbished with Conti's on the same as the 330i rim.

Like on Philips wife's car.
