E46 M3

Hi All..

There is a E46 M3 motor that I have a line on but the motor has a bent conrod. Will this be an expensive fix?

I have been told that on the E46 M motor there are certain things that can't be used again like the crank. Is this true..??

Bent rod implies damaged crank

Crank is R37000 last time I checked

Secondhand they are between R10/15k

Bearings are another R12k

The short answer is yes. You really don't want to start off at a disadvantage when it comes to the S54. Unless that engine is free, and you have a way to source used parts in good condition, I would walk away.
