What I've learnt for myself (and I'll update this a lot as I have a lot to learn) :
The E90/92/93 M3 6 speed manual bolts straight up without a single modification. My research showed that the S65 V8 in the E90 is derived from the S85 V10, but until I bolted up the gearbox it was one very expensive gamble.
The M5 twin plate clutch fits into the bell housing and using an M5 release bearing (£120 ) It all seems to go together as stock. (whether the clutch pedal feels like stock or not I don't know

Supercharged is my bet
I agree...."safest" bet. Too many things to possibly go wrong on a car not turbo'd from the factory.
I agree...Supercharged......but i remember hearing turbo and that was the day we went for a spin.

Car is in a front end, and obviously a write off with suspension bits looking like swiss cheese but the motor looks good....
