You want some contrast between the carbon pieces and the rest of the car. Look at Melbourne Red like I have on my E90 M3, check the "showroom" section on this forum to get an idea of what Carbon looks like on Melbourne Red. My thread is there

why... thats what everyone is doing...

The point is with carbon is you want it to be noticed. If it doesnt contrast you might as well just paint it and have it the same color as the rest of the car.

look look i have carbon...

all the carbon i put on my car will be for weight saving and will be the same colour as the rest of my car... im thinking of leaving something like speed stripes bare...

the in your face carbon is being way overplayed...

the e46 I don't think came in santorini blue but its similar to laguna seca blau, I really like the colour though, here is a pic of an e36 in that colour

fortunately phoenix gold is an e46 m3 colour so bellow are some pics.

The e46 did come in Santorini blue, if not that exactly then very similar! Love the e46 M in that colour!! mmmmm!
