E46 headlight vertical aim not working

So this hasn't worked from the day I bought it, someone previously mentioned that it could be the headlights that is faulty,

Today i decided to hook up a spare headlight to test, i know for a fact this one is working, but still it didn't adjust, I tried it with the car started n both auto and normal on position.

There are no error codes stored, so I am not sure what to do now, any suggestions?

It is probably the headlight adjuster motor located inside the headlight. These fail very easily. I would check the wiring and make sure there is not a problem. I doubt the LCM is the issue, this would just be weird.

That is quite strange. The wiring all fine? If the LCM is the problem it would be cheaper to leave it alone. Changing the LCM is quite a mission and then there is some recoding which needs to be done which even BMW can't manage (don't ask)

Easy to replace the actual Light control Module. It sits behind the light switch. And actually not that difficult to code. It could be the LCM that's faulty. You should be able to code it with your BMWScanner Phoenix. I coded mine after it came back from BMW. They decided that my car would make a good donor for a LCM module. Don't ask!

The VIN, model and the mileage.
You can just sync it with DME. I just copied all the info from the DME to the LCM to get rid of the wrong VIN, model and mileage.

Still strugling with this issue. I have swopped out with another lcm and coded it and no luck :( any suggestions why both wouldn't work?

So I found my problem. Last time I changed out the right headlight with anotherone to test. Well it still didn't work. So now I though let me check power with a multimeter unhooked the connector from left light and switched on lights and voila. Right one adjusted just fine. This is very odd

Hi, did you manage to fix this problem? I have the same problem where one light's vertical adjustment works, and the other doesn't.
