E46 front brake pipes

My E46, 2002 model, needed new rubber brake pipes, check yours....Luckily I had an ABS sensor problem on my left front wheel, and while checking the problem I saw that my rubber brake pipes were badly cracked where they bend as the wheel turns, new pipes could only be bought from BMW, R800.00 each, (you can probably have them made up at a brake agent, I didn't have the time) new ABS sensor from Goldwagen, R630.00, problem solved. Don't always rely on whoever services your car to check these pipes, check them yourself...remove the wheel, turn full lock each way, check the pipes where they attach to the shock strut with a rubber grommet, if they're cracked, change them ASAP.
