are the e46 exhaust manifolds really as restrictive as they say it is? does anyone have a picture? the reason i ask is cos i was thinking that i would like to change the sound of my car and was looking at just changing my rear silencer for maybe a nicer, deeper sound. And when i was chatting to a friend of mine regarding this, he went on and on about how pathetic the original manafolds are designed and bla bla bla.
according to him the cats are in the manifold, but i sumhow seem to recall seeing what i assumed were my cats situated underneath my car far away from my manifolds, so i dont know if he is exaggerating or what?
i also hear somwhere that the e36 m3 manifold fits the m54 engine without too many problems and some decent gains can be expected, but finding one in good nic is at reasonable price is very rare cos they cost like R9000 each from the agents
