Well it depends what you require from your brakes and if can live with brake squeal?
The EBC pads are good. AFAIK the yellow stuff sqeal and need soem heat. :dunno:
I have never used the EBC pads though.
Why don't you look at Jurid pads if you want high performance pads? :dunno:
I have a set of Jurid pads in my 325i.

Thanks Morne. Never heard of Jurid. Where do u get them?

Any decent spare shop that sells high performance brake pads.
BMW use them in the 135i.

ATE is only OEM on the calipers. 325 & 330's also have textar and jurid pads as OEM.

Guys, has anyone ever tried these EBC pads?

I got a price from Star Brake in Edenvale.
For the 330 they quoted me R180 for the Yellow Stuff and R385 for the Ultimax 2 pads.
I've always thought these pads were expensive.

Any views on them:thumbs:

Do you track your car?

Cause yellow stuff's more for track use

The Ultimax 2 is a good replacement for original

I would go Red stuff / Green stuff

I also think Speedy is correct. ATE pads are OEM on my E46 325i as well.

Correct, ATE is OEM for normal E46 3 Series for both disks and pads.

Just get a set of ATE pads from Midas then.

I understand what you guys are saying about just putting the ATE, but wouldnt you say that the Ultimax would offer better braking and also considering that ATE would probably cost more than R385? Not sure what the ATE costs.

Morne, approximately how much is the Jurid?

Just trying to weigh up te cost of each set and compare to what it offers.

By the way, my current ATE's squeak like hell:thumbdo:

Jurid pads are expensive. The one's in my 325i is essentially the 135i pads and they were more than R1000 a set of fronts. :fencelook:
