Morning Gents.

can someone please advise if its possible to replace the battery in these keys. mine seems to have a mind of its own. it doesn't want to lock or unlock the car. but sometimes it works fine. now i have heard that the key charges in the car while driving. is this true?

the car doesnt drive much +- 500kms per month.

Any help will be awsome.:=):

I would assume you have the diamond key, technically their batteries can't be changed................but in reality they can be changed, it involves breaking open the key (it is glued shut) and soldering in a new battery. The battery can be bought from RS components for something in the region of R35 last I checked.

I would reprogram the key before replacing the battery. That solved my problem. The battery does charge in the ignition. Most people think it's necessary to replace the battery, but in reality it's not. Just reprogram your keys. There's lots of DIY links on the web to reprogram the keys.
