Vsomai or one of the other advertisers will be able to help you. Look at the advertisers section.

Leds are better in terms of brightness and look uniform if you get a high end set and not a cheap set otherwise you'll see the gaps quote easily.

Ccfls for the lower price range as they look more uniform.

I also did the research a few years back, CCFL versus SMD leds. I went with the LED option but it has to be a quality LED set. CCFL is less bright and the tubes break sometimes from excessive vibration but does give a uniform light. The LEDs last longer and are brighter and with a quality set they too look uniform. CCFL tubes also start going yellow after a few years. This is my E46 with the LED kit:

I got this kit:
WeissLicht HD 120-LEDs Per Ring x 4 Piece Kit
White Illumination
Clear Rings
For Cars With Halogen Headlights

Off this site: http://www.bimmian.com/Halo-Rings-Kit-for-BMW-E46-3-Series

I see they are kinda pricey now, I remember paying around R850 for mine. I've had mine for 2 years now and zero issues. I'm sure VSOMAI on the forum can get the equivalent for less. And at least he's local if you have any issues. And I've connected them to the day-time running lights connection in the electrics box under the bonnet so they are DRL and it also has a relay to connect to your interior lights so you can control the lights with the key fob.

This was the clip I used as my instructional video, shows you how to install the rings and connect up the electrics and how it all looks when it works.

CFL Type, the led ones look spotted (I don't like that) and the sets that I saw when the lights are off you see those ugly yellow LEDs.

They are a little bit of an hassle to install but they work fine. I had the autosyle ones in first, they broke(lasted almost 2 years, the control box on the one gave out). Replace both headlights with the ones from Violet the end result (look) is the same. Cost was 450 bucks(100 bucks cheaper than the autostyle ones). They also sell other globes and stuff, quoted me 900 bucks for "xenon globe fogs". I presume they are white and bright. The angels has not given me any errors either both sets.

The only crap thing is that the ring sizes are the same so your black plastic cover "cuts away" some of the inner ring. Don't if other sets are different.

Whatever route you take just make that don't cock up you headlight they are pricey.

Click on the link in my signature there are lots of pics

If Vsomai responded to my emails I would supported him. But this is not the place to discus that, if you want send me a pm.

The rand has gone to absolute sh!t. I really want to put these on mine but I see that the halogen and xenon lights require different iterations of the kit. I want to upgrade to xenons in the near future so I guess I should wait to do everything one time but it is pricey... :fencelook:

Retrofit xenons. fx-r projectors, morimoto bulbs and ballasts. Will be better than oem. And the use the halogen rings. This is what I'm doing. I have all the gear. Just need to make time.
