E46 aftermarket steering hub

Can anyone recommend a place in SA that has hubs for aftermarket steering wheels like Sparco, MOMO (preferably in Cape Town).

The steering wheel on my E46 is looks awful, and I would like to get it replaced with a subtle aftermarket one. I would also like to get my gear knob replaced with anything that looks like the original or that is a subtle replacement. Any links will be much appreciated. :clapper:

Big Boss Auto have MOMO-style hubs, which for my car were R900-1000. If you want a nice gearknob, there's a short, weighted one you can get from the dealer, which goes for R6-700, 5-speed (25-11-7-896-031) or 6-speed (25-11-7-896-886). As for the steering wheel, my experience is that you're out of luck in South Africa if you're looking for a subtle replacement unless you get a used, BMW wheel, or get your wheel recovered.

Thanks, I will have a look online. I will probably go to a BMW dealer for the gear knob as I don't like the cheap replacements.

Below I posted a pic of what I had in mind with subtle. Just matte black and simple.

Thanks again for the info. I decided to go with less of a dish wheel as it would sit to far forward. I went with the genuine MOMO Prototipo (black) + Hub from Big Boss Auto. (Received it today)

And you are sure you want to loose your driver side airbag???

I guess sacrifices must be made..

Why not have the steering wheel refurbished and re leathered? :dunno:

My previous wheel was large, damaged and full of useless buttons. Yes I could have it refurbished it but this new one is clean and a more vintage look. You have to agree that it looks as though it belongs.

Different strokes for different folks...
I am not prepared to lose my airbags...

I found a guy in Blue Downs in cape town that strips bmw's. He has about everthing, from seats to steering wheels to gear knobs and well basicly what ever you're looking for. Picked up a Westfalia towbar from him for R1500.

Glad if you like the conversion though...
