e46 -330i Clearing Airbag codes

Hi Guys. I've posted a few times about trying to find a Battery Terminal with BST unit for my e46 (The previous owner had snapped of the yellow plug on the back of the current one). I found one and fitted the Terminal and safety unit and sent it to my mech to clear the codes.
Picked the car up from him today and he says he cant do it. Diagnostics are still telling him that there is a power supply issue (to the control unit). My initial thought is that the cable was damaged, but then wouldn't I have other issues too?

What could this possibly be? :blueCry:
Please help guys.
TIA

Sorry. Just realised that this is in the wrong place. Please could one of the moderators move it. Thanks

Cut through the thin double wires that come from the bst and fit a 2 ohm resistor across the two wires and then clear the codes. I had a similar problem on one of my previous cars and it worked for me. Not sure how it affects the air bag function or not, but the air bag light stayed off and i assumed everything was ok. Please do it at your own risk though. As far as i know the bst is for in case of an accident the bst explodes and disconnects the battery main cable to prevent fire/etc
