Hi guys.

Just wanted to share,

did my swirl flaps on my 2005 330D M57N today 166'000KMS

the actual condition of the flaps was pretty good, yes a bit gooey, but still solid

quite chuffed with self. was a bit nervous when I started because stuff didn't want to get loose and its my ride to work lol.. anyway..

bought the blanking plates from the UK about 1 month ago and they arrived sometime this week.

pics.

yeah thanks.. would have loved to jet wash the inside of the manifold, but was running out of warm outside temperature.. i did though manage to remove and clean the sensor on the manifold.

i will do the manifold inside-clean job on another weekend.

car hasn't lost performance at all, maybe just an new interesting humming sound..

Have you done EGR delete yet?

A few diesel guys recommended I dont do the delete as mine throws an error code.

My EGR valve was quite clean. I did clean it at 110'000kms and its still looking pretty good 50K kms later.

Cheers.

On my E46 330d I even removed the vacuum servo completely from the egr and have no error lights. Just disconnect the vacuum pipe from the egr, plug it with a nail or what ever and you are done. The quickest mod you can do on the diesels. Must say, mine is a 2001/10 build date, so the later models may show error codes.

See its the error codes I'm more concerned with.

All the posts I've read from guys with my type engine in some forums report errors once the sensor detects the change.

I'm happy to clean my EGR valve and inlet manifold as compared to a warning light on my dash.
