Hi everyone, long time follower but first post. Any help would be awesome and appreciated. I have been searching for an answer everywhere and unfortunately have found nothing. I have an 2000 330d M57D30 and my high pressure pump has failed, been tested and confirmed. I am looking for info on pump variants, mine has a bosch 0 445 010 009 but there is a 6U suffix on the pump and stamped on the engine. I am looking to find out if a bosch
0 445 010 009 with the suffix 6E will work on the vehicle and which bmw it comes from. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If the pumps and part number look the same besides the suffix then you would be fine, you can confirm this with diesel electric/bosch but usually the suffix represents certain revisions.

Thank you for the response, it is really appreciated. I have been to the local bosch diesel center here and they cannot give me an answer. The parts prices locally for these pumps are insane but I found a Bosch shop in Germany that will supply the 6E variant with a new pressure switch and a 2 year warranty at less then half the cost of repair locally.

If the part numbers match then ignore the suffix or variant number. Those are just revisions that Bosch/BMW did of the pumps.

Out of interest what sort of mileage does your car have on it?

Thank you, I assume revisions would not effect it working correctly in the other engines. The odometer says 169 000km but not sure cause that seems really low for the age.

Are you sure this issue is the diesel pump? Who confirmed it and what tests were done. Even with crap grade diesel the E46 diesel pumps and injectors take quite a hammering to get to a point of replacement as they were designed at a time where diesel fuel quality was quite agricultural.
