E46 325i - Worth chipping or not?

17 engine kw is about 12.5 wheel kw..
I have seen gains like that from chip alone but its imposible to give a spesific or gaurenteed gains before the car has been on a dyno under load and the AFR is analized with a lamda probe and 5 gas anilizer!
Dont get any other chip that Dastek UniQ.. ive worked with a good couple of chips and there is nothing like Dastek!
dont put your heart on that 17kw.. i can gaurentee you after the chip you will have the otimal power your engine is able to deliver! maby 1kw more maby 10kw.. get it on the dyno for analizing they will be able to tell if your car is running rich!

Lastly, dyno's what are the costs and once dyno'ed do they tune it mechanically or via the chip. Do i need to 'tune' it every now and again?

Epoc, Send Xpower a PM, he can help out with some info on gains. He backs his shit up with proof.
Also, be careful with your approach as ultimately it is your money and your car, rid any biasm that yoo may have to a particular product. Do thorough research on any product that you have an interest in. I'm sure that you are aware the internet is full of BS and Fanboys. Besides i'm sure you have worked hard to earn your cash, why not do some "homework" before you part with it?
for example, go and have a look over at E90post for some insight into how people just believe any shit spewed to them by fellow posters and take sides in the "JB3 vs procede" battle without even knowing the difference in approach, tuning, benefits etc etc. Just a bunch of sheep imo.

Ive worked with a whole range of chiplogic, perfect power , Dastek and more and The dastek chip is very universal and 100% tunable + more!!
Venom developments in witbank installs and maps the Dastek for R3000
some cars you tune machinicaly and others like BMW you tune via the chip! and one its chipped and tuned dont need to get it tuned again!
