HOWSIT GENTS

I HAVE A 2000 320D PRE FACELIFT,JUST HAD THE ENGINE DONE,IT STARTS AND IDLES...THING IS IT IDLES THROWING OUT BLACK SMOKE AND TOTALLY REFUSES TO REV UP. I HAVE CHANGED THE INJECTOR PUMP AND THE INJECTORS ARE PUSHING 190 BARS PRESSURE. BOTH THE PUMP AND INJECTORS WERE DONE BY DIESEL ELECTRIC.

HELP!!!

I had a similiar episode with a Nissan hard body a few weeks back, and it turned out to be dirty diesel in the tank.

who refitted the diesel distributer pump? on those engines (pre- common rail) the pump timing is absolutely CRITICAL..

maybe its out?

the timing is spot on...i found anouther problem whilst probing around for the fault,it seems that the car was involved in a rear end smash and the guys who repaired the car swapped the fuel feed lines around...but the car is still messing me around
