Hi guys,

Well im not a happy bunny...

Last week my car broke down on me and wouldnt start... got to the garage and they said the "crank sensor" had gone.. whilst it was there I asked for a full service..£550 later.

They did:
Sensor
Oil and filters
Brake fluid
New Battery
Minor oil leak from a broken seal.

So it ran well for a week now when I start it , it revs up to 2000rpm initially then sits revving itself between 600rpm and 2200rpm. it normally sit happily at 800rpm.

After driving a while and restarting the engine it seems to sort itself out and starts normally. but once cold again.... same result.....

Whilst driving cold the engine is still revving and makes the ride jumpy and a little dangerous.

Please someone help... I cant afford another high bill.....

Many thanks guys

Check your crank vent valve, i also had the same problem with my compact.

If it is loosing power check the igniting coils
