e46 318i gearbox

I notice my gear lever rocking back and forth quite a bit when in neutral. Does not do it in drive or sport setting. This is an auto box. Any ideas what is the cause of this? engine/gearbox mounts?

Does the engine idle even , no misfire ?
You can check the mounts underneath - use a stand or ramp - jacks are only for jacking :thumbs:

Engine idles fine no misfires.
