e46 318i - funny start problem and abs noise

had a intermitent problem with the car's starter for a while (goign to replace it weekend). The starter acted up again today, but whn the car eventualy started, the DCS light stayed on for a few seconds and the car would not idle properly. after about 10 seconds the light died and the car returned to normal. later I had to break hard enough for the ABS to kick in, and heard this funny buzzing noice from the rear.

Is this something I should be worried about?

"funny buzzing sound", is that a technical term ....

THose issues could be battery related, check your terminals for muck...

:thinking: difficult to describe the sound. Its the usual ABS puls followed by the...well...buzz of what sounds like a pump motor or something
