I stand to be corrected but im sure there must be a Master central door lock actuator (right hand side) in these cars... normally if this pops the other doors wont work.

As i said i stand to be corrected. :bangdesk:

perhaps i shoud just have a look at all the pumps in the doors and the boot? maybe one of these are kicking out this problem..... but as i said it works perfectly, except on hot days..... my girl is soooo not up for the jumping over seats

Sounds like a small problem, but hard to find. If you say heat plays a role then I would say a crack in something somewhere is probably causing it...

I have a similar problem on my e46 318i, hot days the car struggles to open, and when it finally does the other doors won't open, even if you pull the handle from the inside the lock pin pops slightly out and then retracts again..

I have the same problem with my E46 323, on hot days but has happened on cold days. Any takers as to the direct and/or indirect cause of this?

I found in my white e46 on very cold mornings only the driver side doors sometimes fails to operate with the remote. But once opened once manually it's fine for about a week or so.

When I have a look and find anything I'll post back...
