Hi Peeps

The weekend i picked up a issue where the car like went into safe mode.
It doesnt wanna rev up, picking up speed slowly, what i noticed is the
EML light pops up when the car is like this.

I went to a BMW mechie in pta & he said he knows this is common on the E46 318's. Once the EML light goes on that all sensors need to be replaced. Which will cost in the region of 6.5k :fencelook::cry:

He didnt wanna scan the car, stating that once one sensor goes it automatically kills the rest of he sensors until the car wont drive anymore.

Read the manual & say that one of the sensors are giving up & should be replaced. How to i tell which sensor is it. My car just over 107 000kms

Any help

the vvt unit is around R2500, you can easily replace it, but from what ive read you'll need some specials tools programme it.

i know zaleonard(dent doctor) has reprogrammed some.

did you get your codes read?
