So i get this noise coming from the engine like a slight roaring unfamiliar sound when the car goes towards 3-4000 revs and as one drives there is a loud rattle and a slight vibration if you push the car.
The car is otherwise perfect in terms of performance and moves well.
Ive already done the valve stem seals, the head, new oil pump etc and few other smaller details and now the mech says it sounds like a definite bearing knock. he says hes going to open the sump and from the bottom change the bearings and what not, me not being very familiar with the jargon. btw the car is only on 150 000kms and looked after fairly well from the previous owners and i only had the car for a year and 3 months.
Is this problem rare, i have checked the other threads and dont seem to find this really.
I am so saddened by this because im not in a good financial position and i hardly used the car, when it comes to fixing engines ive had past experiences that were bad, the cars never felt the same after it was tinkered with and loss total satisfaction with the car.
