I wish I could see how the interior looks. To know how to keep mine in check. It is sad that it hardly gets driven but hey that's a car every member on this forum wishes he could have. Its a brand new E46.

From reading on this forum, i have learnt that cars that are left standing for a while need to have all fluids replaced, seals tend to age quicker and so forth. was this car standing for long periods of time, or would start everyday and drive 250m and back home?

If the car wasnt started often enough or driven regularly, i would not want to buy it. If it hasnt had enough oil changes i wouldnt touch it.

The thing with something like this is that it would be perfect to just sit or drive the odd kilometre whenever, but will it be able to handle normal usage going forward? One would have to pay premium for this car and then risk having to spend loads to maintain it or repair when things start failing.

I love low mileage cars, this deserves to be in a museum not a road.

This is very true

Frankly I think BMW should buy the car back from this guy :fencelook:

Why? This car is not rare, hundreds of thousands produced. Keeping it stored like that does nothing to the value, just degrades the car actually more. Fluids dont move around ect. Starting and idling a car or just short drives add to the problem.

Its not like he will sell it for more than what he initially paid, plus added expenses, insurance, added maintenance, licences. Also Its good to drive the car while under m/plan which normally uncovers any major defective parts that can be replaced while under m/plan.

Biggest ISSUE is the loss of not enjoying the drive of the car..stories like these dont impress me, just make me want to cry.

If its a rare or valuable car then I can understand and am all for such storage though.. but a 330?

We don't know of the other cars that he has at his disposal so we aren't really in a position to judge whether it's the right or wrong thing to do.

Well if the service book has all the yearly services there, and it should be full of it.....then believable. Very hard to believe this is so low mileage although condition is SO DAMN amazing!!!:praise::praise::praise:

my guess is this owner thinks his going to get top dollar for this car, hence the reason he is keeping it in this condition

guess he is in for a surprise or he may just get that silly chap who is willing to pay, then i guess the owner got what he wanted.

its probably a long term investment - who knows:flyfun::fencelook::bangdesk::argh:

doesnt matter if the service books are there or not. The problems are only going to start coming up when you start 'driving' the car.

Im sure at the present moment there is nothing wrong with this car and the service books should be squeeky clean probably only oil services if you ask me. So if there is nothing wrong why replace stuff.
