Hi guys
It has been a while since I've posted anything on the forum due to work commitments.
While driving on the N1 yesterday afternoon, I decided to turn on the aircon and the car just stalled without any warning. I managed to get the car to the side of the road and tried starting it with no success. The car idles for about 2-3 seconds and just dies.
I'm not sure if turning the aircon on had anything to do with the car stalling or was it just co-incidental?
My mechanic came out to assist and concluded that it is the fuel pump. Is there perhaps a suitable replacement pump which I can use instead of getting one from the stealers?
I am not mechanically inclined but isn't there a relay or any other easier method to determine whether or not it is indeed the fuel pump? I really don't wanna spend money unnecessarily only to find that it is something minor.
Any assistance or advice will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.
