E39 540i DSC Light

My 5 has decided that the DSC light should stay on!

So yesterday afternoon whilst driving home from work the DSC light came on and stayed on. I read on the net that the most common culprits are the wheel sensors. It did come on previously but went off after I switched off and restarted. Any ideas?

I'll try and get the codes read in the weekend.

My car did the same just before I bought it. ABS light comes on as well.

Mine was dirty sensors.

Think Truvalu had the same. Also sensors.

clean the sensors also make sure your tire pressures are right...

Thanks will clean it up as soon as I have some free time and hopefully the light goes away.

Best is to clean and if it is still a problem , then you can resort to more expensive things.
