E39 530d Replacing turbo

Guys, need to know what is involved in replacing turbo with new one. Can it be done from below the car or will i have to remove manifold/injectors/etc.
Car in question is 2003 E39 and 228k km. Where will i get the best deal on genuine Garrett and which one should i get that will match the one on the car? P1000 help please!! Have seen turbos for about R9k. Is that what they go for?

on the 330d the turbo can come out the bottom.. so im almost positive it should be possible on the e39 too..

price sounds about right for a genuine garrett.. else phone turbo direct, they are the garrett agents..

Please don't let anyone remove your injectors to do this, it WILL end in tears and cost almost as much as the car is worth. Get the turbo from TurboDirect or Engineparts, they are the Garrett agents. The garrett part number is on the turbo and should be readable if you remove the intake piping.

Best price would probably be if you walk into the turbodirect shop and ask for discount.

Also replace the oil feed pipe and make sure al the crankcase breather pipes are clear and the breather itself should also be replaced.

Got my 320d Turbo from Garrett directly. They are in Spartan Kempton.

cant find the Number now but if will pm if I do. Speak to Gabby. They gave me dealership discount. All I had to do was ask.
