Have just returned from a 1900km trip to Upington and back with the 530d auto and got 14,5km/l going there and on the return trip filled up in Upington yesterday and put another R100 (8,06l) in at Klawer just to get me to Somerset-West without having to worry about running dry. Well, when i wanted to fill up at Brent Oil in Somerset-West they did not have any diesel and were waiting for the tanker, so drove the rest of the way to Hermanus on the same tank. It is showing 15l left in the tank on the gauge, with 927km distance travelled and 293km range left ( range is meaningless as i drove like a ninny for the last 20km). I travel at the speed limit (the sign on the side of the road and not the car's limit) all the time and never exceed it exept maybe when passing someone. Tank capacity is 70 litres.Works out to 14,7km/l roughly, so not bad at all considering i had a strong wind from the left front side for about 400km and from Klawer from right ahead (about 300km)
