Howzit Guys
Long Story short i have been entrusted to sell a car for my cousin who isn't much of a car person and has been too busy to do it himself.
he is from Durban and will drive the car to leave with me in JHB.
I am unfamiliar as to what these cars are worth and so is he, so any advice on what a fair price will be?
Details
Its basically a white 2001 BMW 530d Auto Non M sport with just over 302000km.
Some History
The car was owned by his late dad who had daily'd his faithful Hilux and bought this car to serve as a long distance driver between DBN and JHB which he did quite frequently. I remember him doing countless trip with this car and has been in their family for about 10 years.
Condition
I had driven it in December last year after it had had a major service and it drove extremely well for a 20+ year old car, i was really impressed by how smooth and comfy it was. so much faith my cuz had in it that we were supposed to drive it down to CT in December but took the SUV at the last minute as we were told the drive between Durban and PE isn't that great with many potholes through Mount Alyff ,Mthata etc.
However being a 20+ year old car it does have signs of wear, I remember there was a ding on the driver side roof and and damage to the side skirt, interior has no tears in leather but i remember the cup holder not working.
Overall
A straight, strong and honest car that has plenty of life in it that requires a discerning owner
I will have the car by next week and should be available then and will upload some pics.
