I contacted Garage808 and they told me that due to my high mileage 281000km they cannot work on it. So now I need to find a different garage that can do the job.

Is this for real? Guys won't repair something cause the vehicle has high mileage? :skit:

I almost fell off my chair when I heard. The best is everyone I have spoken to referred me to them say that it a fantastic workshop, I suppose they all had new cars.

+1

Peter did my old 528 at 418 xxx km's, no issues...........

Have you purchased the seal kit yet?

Not yet I think I must get the kit and set attempt the seal replacement myself. It does not seem to difficult if done according to the beisen system. Just need to source all the correct tools required to do the job.

Phone Brilliant and tell them Peter from JHB referred you.
Ask for Rolf if he is not busy

Just an update i eventually purchased the vanos seal kit by Moranor@axis. I decided what the hell i can do the replacement myself so this morning I started and 5hours and a few French words I was done. I can feel there is a little extra power below 3000 rpm, I know that they say you need to do between 300-400km for the seals to reach its optimum performance.
