Yeah he has the car for about three years if I recall correctly.

The car recently made 225kw on the wheels at the Zeemax Dyno at their new premises.

He also has a cosmos black e36 M3 that he will also be making available.

zeemax gives flywheel power and not wheelpower

I dunno, If i had to chose. I think I would be sadder to see the e36 go. But I have had it a long time, and they grow on you.

If that's what your car looks like then KEEP IT!! Even if you find an E46 in great condition the mere fact that you have an EVER-SCARCE clean E36 makes the car that much more valuable. You WILL remember it...

Irrespective, the figures quoted is definitely wheel power.

how can it be irrespective as wheel power is a reflection what your car is putting out on the road which will be lower than fly power and if the car made that power at the last dyno held at zeemax then they its flywheel power that was quoted, somebody from the forum who was there for the dyno day can confirm whether wheel power or fly figures were given.

As I said, the power figure quote to him was wheel power.

You can contact Herman and ask him if the autowizard's M3 he put on his dyno a month or two ago was quoted power figures at the wheels or the crank, then you can hear from the horse's mouth so to speak if you do not believe me.

He will know the car pretty well since they were sharing a workshop for a month and are still in contact.

i dont need to contact anyone, its just to my knowledge as i have put various cars of mine on the zeemax dyno and they always gave fly power, maybe he asked for wheel power and they changed the settings on the dyno for him, what mods on the E46 M?

Not actually, apparently that is what they make on that dyno.

I got a call from my friend in the morning and he told me he was on the dyno and asked me to guess the power, I guessed 225 and he laughed because thats exactly what the car made.

Talking a bit more he said that Herman told him thats what most of the M3s make on the dyno, with some a kw or two more or less.

It is a normal M3, I doubt its stronger than other M3s and as I said, the conversation at the time suggested it was normal and not more than what other cars are making.

I will see him either tomorrow or Wednesday and will ask him to confirm if its wheelpower or not.

I really believe it is at the wheels since an e46 M3 makes 250kw at the crank, and 225kw at the wheels seems consistent with that stats.

on the various dyno's i have been to i have not seen a standard or de-catt E46 m3 put out that 252kw as the specs say.standard or de-catt E46 M's usually make between 220kw and 230kw atf on the dyno.
