what power does a stock 4dr e36 M3 make at the coast?

This question is for guys that have put their car on the dyno and not people who think what it should make:thumbs:

Supposed to be 231KW power and 340NM torque for SA (lower compression) models

Then those torque figures look really low.

I know of N/A four pot motors that make more torque than that.

Remember that dyno test are USUALLY done in 3rd gear..!

Six Speed boxes should really be done in 4th gear

Haibo, dont sell the E36 for an E46.....for an E92 M.....maybe

Nothing I've sat in or driven feels like the E36 M, especially when decatted. I dont even put the cd player on with the 2 12" subs on. E36 M's sound great
Someone said it's a "Surgical tool" - well said. The precision in handling is brilliant for such an old car.

I still love my E36 M3 and you need balls of steel at times, but even at lower speeds, it feels more manly and down right rugged than most cars, even faster cars. It's a straight 6 legend....the first, not the last. Somehow it also looks longer and sleeker.

Pull 1st gear and snap change into second and get the back to step out........what can be better than that..... well alot, but theres something about it.

The E46 M is better in many ways, more refined, faster, could be better looking even.... etc. If you can have both, keep the E36.....if you sell it, you will regret it.....I've been battling with the same choice for a few years and eventually I play it safe and keep the E36 everytime I'm faced with this decision......
There are so many E46's around it does not even turn heads like it used to and wont be the classic collector type like the the E36 is.

I guess I am biased though....:joy:
