e36 random wire/connector identification

Anyone know the start and end point or purpouse of these wires? its a violet/green wire and a brown wire like you would find on the fuel pump but it's cut off and going nowhere, the fuel pump runs when you jump the relay so I'm not sure if it is related to the fuel pump, located on the driver side of the engine bay next to the brake booster, please assist..

that is supposed to go to the mirco switch on the bonnect that activates the alarm if opened if i recall correctly. will double check when i get back home.
