E36 overheating problem

HI Guys,
Not sure if anyone can help, but my brother has a 316i e36 auto.
The car overheated and started to miss and cutout. So they did the following:
• Sent Cylinder head to engineers for pressure check & Skimming
• New head gasket
• New thermostat
• New radiator
• New fan ( you know the Aluminum part)
• New oil & antifreeze

With all that done the car still overheats when driving. He noticed that during the day its fine but the moment he uses his head lights the heat gauge rapidly goes to red.
I don’t think the mechanic has all his screws tight cos he just recommended changing every thing and the problem is still there.
What else can be checked or changed to solve the problem?

i just read on one of the threads that you need to have new head bolts every time you do the head. if not new, they done screw on tight enough and can cause over heating..
