E36 M3 VANOS CHIP???

HI GUYS , I OWN A E36 95 M3 , I CAN GET A VANOS CHIP FROM ONE OF THE E36 M3 TOURING CARS, APPARENTLY ITS A VANOS SENSOR AND A ECU CHIP, THE 2 GO TOGETHER, DID ANY OF YOU GUYS EVER HEARD OF SOMETHING LIKE THIS ... IM GOING TO FETCH IT TOMORROW SO I WILL POST PICS AS SOON AS I GET IT... THANKS

I haven't heard of a vanos sensor coming with the chip. I cannot imagine the need of having to change it.
The chips do make a difference in driveability of the car as well a top end power but just getting it from someone is like a lucky packet as you do not know what specifically it is tuned for and they normally come hand in hand with the DME chip. If you decide to give it a shot the Vanos chip is in the ECU below the DME.

Well the guy wants 5k for it, and it suppose to give me 35nm and about 15kw , he use to work for bmw back in the day,..:thinking:

so its not a sensor its only 2 chips , one for the vanos and one for the DME...
