I would have given you a R200 note, but apparently lots of counterfeit ones floating around

at the end of the day i think its down to: if you can afford the M3s maintenance go for it, otherwise the 330

The poll asks "which would you choose?" and I'd have to say the M3 sedan FTW. It's designed to do everything good. The all in one answer. Economical and absolute POWER+PLEASURE whenever you prefer. It also has presence to boot. That violet one for sale at the moment is worth a look

Plus 1. Its a family salon car which your wife and kids can also enjoy.

Well if its going to be a weekend\fun car then ///M it is, but if your going to use it on the daily then I'd go for the 330.

Im one of the few that clicked 330i on the vote, I find anything with an ///M badge = ///MONEY PIT!!! Parts are 10 times the price compared to non ///M parts and these older ///M's require alot more parts replacement as the years wear on. Forget trying to find good 2nd hand M spares too...Hens teeth!!

This is the reason why I won't own a ///M badged car. I had the same option and took the 330i, I and my wallet have never regretted that decision to this day. I like to call the 330i the poor man's M3 as it has close to the same performance yet cheap on the pocket. My gf drives the 330i from Brackenhurst to bedfordview and back each day in peak hour traffic on the N3, she gets 9.4lt/100km, M3 will never get figures like that.

Did I mention the 330i is a much lower risk on the hi-jacking list? You cannot drive your M3 or 325is around the block without someone trying to hi-jack you!!

Firstly you chose BMW so already you gonna get sheer driving
pleasure. I recently purchased an E36 M3 coupe because it had
been my dream car for as long as I can remember. I gotta say the
330 may seem like a practical choice, but when it comes to
having fun or enjoying your drive to work then I would say
live a little. Go with the M

u should always have an e36 parked in your yard. they are jus raw power. no fancy buttons for every little thing its just you, the car and the tar. one of the best cars i have ever driven.

However if you do want to trade up u should do it. just keep your e36 please

i voted for e36 m3 for obvious reasons - your budget will probably make a final decision as Gizmo alluded to
i also prefer the e36 interior above that of the e46 as i like the obc layout - e46's looks common to me
The outside looks of e36 'may' look older but looks less common than e46 these days - matures with age like wine.

I'm not gona let my car go now, unless I get an offer I cant refuse :mmm: was thinking should the day come when I decide to upgrade, which of the 2 would it be  but I'll only make that decision when I get to drive both cars

That's part of the challenge. Finding an unmolested E36 M is starting to get difficult. 330s are easier to come by (although Individuals are becoming a bit more difficult to pick up).

Holy crap, it's literally impossible to find a 330i individual. I've been watching the market for months.. Your car aside..
