I really struggle to see how it can run strong with a 3.2 ECU? Maybe yu got a 3.0 ecu, im sorry there is no way yu can run nicely with a 3.2 ecu. If you are running it the its on alpha mode and just dumping fuel coz it cant find the right sensors. Fit the right ecu and be sorted, i dnt knw how evryone skipped to tell yu this.

This isn't something which has been skipped over.

V'Nolan, just to clear up something in your last post; your head gasket is fine. Your tappet cover gasket is what needs changing, it was leaking oil into the first cylinder spark plug if I recall correctly.

Thank you lysis for the correction. As per post #12 where the author posted what was picked up during diagnosis with the 3.2 ecu being there i felt it was important for him to make sure he has the right ecu for the car and harness. I believe it may solve his burning rich.

My 2c, you can add all those mods, Cams, exhaust, cold air intake, and spend R10's of thousands, which will probably make it faster than a stock 4 door 3.2 E36 M3, but still slower than a stock E46 M3.

You will spend a lot of money for very little gain on the 3.0l. IF you looking for more power, you have to supercharge or turbo charge.

TRUE- Dont forget to upgrade your brakes too
