Is this above information correct? There were 748 South African spec M3’s built (assembled) from September 1993 until May 1994 in South Africa from Semi Knocked-Down kits (SKD). After the local built SKD M3’s were discontinued in May 1994, BMW SA started to import the German built M3 coupés from June 1994 until about mid 1995.
Production Versions (3.0lt)
BF92: European-spec S50 B30 coupe (RHD), 03/93 through 07/95
BF98: South African-spec S50 B30 coupe (RHD), 09/93 through 05/94
BJ92: European-spec S50 B30 convertible (RHD), 09/94 through 08/95
Does anyone know the exact number of imports that BMW brought to SA?
Coupes, Saloons and Convertibles?
And what were the production dates locally?
On a side note for example- a 1996 E36 M3 coupe is technically late 1995 model that has just been registered in 1996?
did you get E36 M3 2 doors made in 1996?
or am i way off?
