E36 M3 Coupe Vanos ECU/VNC

I have a E36 M3, and it seems like my Vanos ECU/VNC is faulty, loss of power at low rpm. Its a single vanos.

Does anyone know what a replacement would cost.

From the dealer, about R40000. But there are repair options available.

Hi, is it dead from a 1000rpm up tol 4000rpm?, and does it wake up from 4000rpm to limiter? either VNC, solenoid on Vanos or Camshaft sensors! Do a fault read with an Original BMW Diagnostic, and it will give you accurate fault codes! I do have Spares for your M3, let me know whats the outcome...

There was a thread about the vanos O-rings on 6-cylinders that are problimatic. Same symptoms you experiencing...try googling Vanos seeal solutions

Its is like dead up 2500rpm then there is power, took it to Savspeed and no fault codes, but Sav say it might be the VNC.

How much do you want for the VNC unit.
