Sounds more like tappets than the vanos.

Re the m3. A friend of mine did the Dr Vanos repair kit thing not too long ago. Day and nite difference and low RPM grunt. this is why im doing mine soon

still have a single vanos seals that were not taken... came to:
R295 for the seals
door to door R155 or
post with tracking number R50
from the response im getting on these seals looks like i should start selling them :rollsmile:

Phumi said:@B16A4 are you sure the problem is just the seals & not the actual vanos? I'm tired of replacing vanos seals, I think the best option would be to get a new one. I know Calypso has gone the Dr Vanos route & he's more than happy with it.
