thanks a lot guys. im going to look at the Dr vanos site. however i saw a write up on the beisen system site about repairing a euro double vanos and i thought they may have them and be cheaper than drvanose. my vanos has developed leaks on the exhaust side even though i know it wont cure the noise. one strange thing with the car is it makes the noise only as it gets warm. when dead cold it is smooth and quiet.

Sounds more like tappets than the vanos.

the best thing i will do is give the car a thorough oil flush change the vanos filter and the check the tappets before purchasing any expensive stuff. besides what confused me even more is that most vanos rattles occur from cold and idle

I asked the very same question about those double vannos seals around the 12th Jan.I got the reply

''We are working on final production to release these products. It’ll be another ~1 month.’’

Also waiting for these to come out.

@B16A4 are you sure the problem is just the seals & not the actual vanos? I'm tired of replacing vanos seals, I think the best option would be to get a new one. I know Calypso has gone the Dr Vanos route & he's more than happy with it.

to be honest with you the car does have a rattle or some noise. however the strange thing about this noise is that its quiet when its cold only when its warm you can hear it. hence i would open it check the chain first and the do the seal kit or rattle kit if need be. Dr vanos is kwaai:praise: but the price is scary if you still consider the RR, hence thats the reason i would opt for the beisan seal and rattle kit to fit myself. could have been better if Drvanos was selling these kits and not charging the labour and im thinking of the shipping costs for the whole unit. better the components

i would try the seals 1st its quite expensive to go the Dr Vanos route because they do all the work and labour prices are way higher in the UK...
But with Dr Vanos you know its going to be 100% after :)

$1,200.00 or $100
