No. that is not the reason for getting rid of the M3. Even if i have to say so myself, the M3 was in pretty decent shape.
It was a change of heart.

He has actually had two M3's, can't comment about the first one, but the second one was as standard as you can get and running brilliantly.

I had my first (all too short) ride in an M3 Coupe yesterday,and I've managed to convince myself that I MUST own one raise: ...but that economics are off-putting :yuck: The guy wants R85k (neg) for it,but I can't really attest to it's current health. Bodywork is perfect,ride is softer than my 328,engine free-revving,performance smile-enducing!But parts prices on ///Ms...makes you think twice. E39 540 would be less risky,but the allure of an ///M is undeniable...!
