E36 Contours or M3 rims

With some work you could fit throwing stars.....

StK you have no idea how much I want throwing stars or E39 M5 rims for my E36 :inlove: Because of the offsets, they won't fit my car

How do you guys in the UK get them to fit ???

You need to roll the arches and the right tyres. Some people put on stretch tyres but I am not a fan of that though.

E39 have different hubs to other BMW models so the wheels are more difficult to fit, the centre bore on E39 wheels is 74. something mm whilst all the rest are 72. something mm.....

I love contours on a E36 but throwing stars are that little bit special IMO

Yeah same here, not a fan of stretched tyres on a beemer, infact I'll only fit 235/40/17 tyres, nothing bigger or smaller then that...

Yeah same here, not a fan of stretched tyres on a beemer, infact I'll only fit 235/40/17 tyres, nothing bigger or smaller then that...

If you are putting on genuine E36 M3 alloys then they are usually staggered, unless of course you have an early set of contours which were not staggered, the later ones were. For a staggered set up you would be better off with 225/45/17 on the front and 245/40/17 on the rear. :thumbs:

Both look good on e36 - depends on what is available

i am now running style 68 (e46 330i sport) rims on my e36 328iM (straight fit)

Prefer symmetrical rather then staggered, so tyre size is the same all round & can swap front with rears if needed, but finding an early set of contours is as scarce as hens teeth....
